Terms ofService
Last updated: August 2026
These terms apply to the Accra Resource Center ("ARC", "we", "us") website, courses, events, and community programmes. By creating an account, registering for a course, or using our services, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
Who we are
ARC is a community-driven learning and innovation hub based in Accra, Ghana. We provide digital-skills training, mentorship, events, and related community programmes.
Your account
You must provide accurate information when creating an account or registering, and keep your login details secure. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly at admin@arcaccra.org if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
Course registration and places
Submitting a registration is a request for a place, not a guarantee of one. Places may be limited and are confirmed by ARC. We may need to change a course's schedule, format, facilitator, or content, and we will let registered participants know of significant changes as early as we reasonably can.
Fees and payment
Some courses are free and others are paid; the fee for a paid course is shown on its course page before you register. Paid course fees are in Ghana Cedis (GHS) unless stated otherwise, and payments are processed by our payment provider — we do not store your card details. Your place on a paid course is confirmed once payment is received.
Refunds and cancellations
If ARC cancels a course before it begins, you may choose a full refund or a transfer to a future cohort. If you need to withdraw, contact us at admin@arcaccra.org before the course starts and we will do our best to offer a refund or a transfer. Once a course has started, fees are generally non-refundable, though we will consider genuine hardship or exceptional circumstances case by case.
Attendance and certificates
Where a course offers a certificate, it is awarded on meeting the attendance and assessment requirements set out for that course. Certificates recognise participation and completion; they are not an accredited academic qualification unless expressly stated.
Acceptable use
We ask everyone in the ARC community to behave respectfully. Please do not harass or discriminate against others, share content that is unlawful or harmful, attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to our systems, or misrepresent who you are. We may suspend or remove access to our services, events, or community spaces where these terms are broken.
Content you submit
You keep ownership of the work, profile details, and other content you submit — for example a developer directory profile or a project. By submitting it, you allow us to display and share it in connection with our programmes and promotion of the community. You confirm you have the right to share what you submit. We may decline or remove submissions, and profiles added to the developer directory are published only after review.
Our content
Course materials, the ARC name and logo, and the content of this website belong to ARC or our partners. You may use course materials for your own learning, but please do not resell or redistribute them without our permission.
Events
Events may be photographed or recorded for documentation and promotion. Let a member of the team know if you would prefer not to appear, and we will respect that.
Third-party services
Our services rely on third parties such as sign-in, payment, hosting, and email providers, and our site may link to other websites. Those services operate under their own terms, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.
Availability
We work to keep our services available and accurate, but we provide them on an "as is" basis and cannot guarantee they will always be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, ARC is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of our services.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and handle your personal information, and forms part of these terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date above shows when they last changed, and continuing to use our services after an update means you accept the revised terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana.
